Oct 12 | Dr. Pubilo Silfa: Roadmap to dental implants
The Complete Roadmap to Dental Implants: Surgical Procedures and Restorative Strategies for Optimal Results

Thursday, Oct 12 | 4 - 9 PM (Dinner Included)

Introduction:
The field of implant dentistry has evolved significantly, with patients nowadays having higher expectations for their dental implant treatments. They not only desire functional restorations but also demand esthetically pleasing results that closely resemble natural teeth. Prosthetically-driven treatment planning and a comprehensive understanding of the biology involved are crucial for achieving successful outcomes in implant cases. This program aims to provide clinicians with a four-step approach to diagnose, treatment plan, and execute implant cases effectively, enhancing the predictability and success of this therapy.
Course Objectives:
1 Understand the four steps in the RDIP approach: The RDIP (Diagnose, Treatment Plan, Implement, Prosthetics) approach is a systematic framework for implant therapy. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of each step and its significance in achieving successful outcomes.
2 Identify important considerations for adequate treatment planning in esthetic implant therapy: Esthetic implant therapy requires meticulous treatment planning. Clinicians will learn key factors to consider, such as proper tooth position, soft tissue management, and their impact on the esthetic prognosis of implant therapy.
3 Identify the relationship between tooth position, soft tissue, and the prognosis of esthetic implant therapy: Participants will explore the interplay between tooth position, soft tissue architecture, and the overall success of esthetic implant therapy. Understanding this relationship is crucial for achieving optimal esthetic results.
4 Understand the importance of the different areas of the emergence profile and learn different techniques to condition the soft tissues: The emergence profile plays a vital role in the esthetics of dental implants. Clinicians will learn about the various components of the emergence profile and techniques to condition the soft tissues for natural-looking results.
5 Understand key parameters of prosthetically-driven implant therapy through analog and digital approaches: Prosthetically-driven implant therapy involves a comprehensive understanding of prosthetic principles. Participants will explore both analog and digital approaches to consider key parameters that enhance predictability and success in implant therapy.
6 Understand the essential criteria for proper material selection and delivery techniques: Material selection and delivery techniques significantly impact the long-term success of implant therapy. Clinicians will gain insights into the critical criteria for selecting appropriate materials and learn about effective delivery techniques.

Conclusion:
The Complete Roadmap to Dental Implants program provides clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of the RDIP approach, esthetic treatment planning, soft tissue management, and prosthetic principles for successful implant therapy. By following this four-step approach and incorporating the knowledge and techniques presented, participants will enhance their ability to diagnose, treatment plan, and execute implant cases effectively, ultimately improving the predictability and success of their dental implant treatments.
Nov 16 | Dr. Drew Ferris: The integral use of removable aligners

High Res-AARD 2024 headshotUnderstanding the Role of Clear Aligners In Interdisciplinary Treatment and General Practice

Thursday, Nov 16 | 4 - 9 PM (Dinner Included)

All of us have experienced patient consultations where orthodontic treatment would provide a tremendous benefit to the patient and yet so often the patient refuses to wear braces. As a consequence, the final treatment result suffers great compromise. In some cases the desired tooth movement can be relatively straightforward and accomplished in relatively short time period. In other more complex cases, a greater understanding of biomechanics in necessary to achieve proper tooth position which would offer dramatic assistance to other members of the interdisciplinary team and greatly improve their ability to provide their highest quality treatment.

Patients who are considering restoration of their dentition often have concerns regarding the potential orthodontic component due to the treatment time, cost and appearance of the appliances required for optimal treatment. This presentation will include numerous patients where these objections were minimized by using innovative strategies without sacrificing the quality of treatment. Removable aligner applications and other combination treatments will be presented and discussed including the orthodontists and GPs role.

Learning Objectives:

To provide an overview of the scope of removable aligner treatment as it pertains to interdisciplinary treatment.
To illustrate the advantages clear aligners have over traditional orthodontic treatment in treating a variety of cases.

To assist in securing improved case acceptance for interdisciplinary treatment. To understand case selection and clear aligners role in the general practice.
